Course Overview

Molar endodontics can present clinical challenges. These may include difficulty in isolation, accessing the root canals, negotiating narrow and curved canals, and obturation.
Advances in technology and materials have made it possible to effectively perform successful molar endodontics with superior precision and more predictable results.
This 2-day intensive state-of-the-art course includes lectures and hands-on workshops designed for General Dentists who wish to advance their clinical skills when performing molar endodontics.
Participants will learn how to perform efficient endodontic access, clean and shape root canal systems, and obturate them predictably. You will perform endodontic treatment from start to finish in mandibular and maxillary teeth. This hands-on course will undoubtedly help you approach molar endodontics with more confidence and predictability.
This course is recommended for dentists at any level who wish to improve their clinical skills and treat molar teeth endodontically. It will provide participants with practical information and predictable techniques for successfully performing molar endodontics.

Course Faculty

  • Course Director: Anthony Tran
    • Dr. Tran graduated from the University of California of San Diego, Revelle College, with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology. He earned his dental degree from Loyola University of Chicago and his Endodontic Certificate from the University of Southern California. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association. Dr. Tran is licensed to provide conscious sedation in California. He has also participated in multiple educational and mentorship activities in endodontics by delivering lectures, providing hands-on instruction, and mentoring in continuing education courses and programs. Dr. Tran has maintained an active private practice limited to Endodontics in Fresno, California.
  • Jaydeep Talim
    • Dr. Talim received his BDS from Nair Hospital, India, and his MSc in Conservative Dentistry from the world-renowned Eastman Dental Hospital in 1996. He practiced general dentistry for 20 years before completing his Advanced Endodontics Specialty Program at the University of Southern California in 2015.
      He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a sought-after teacher and mentor. Dr. Talim is a co-author of a chapter on “Endodontics in the elderly patient” in the recent 7th edition of Ingle’s Endodontics and has published articles on topics such as Canalis Sinuosus, restoration of endodontically treated teeth, and diabetes and the dental patient. He maintains a private practice limited to Endodontics in Orange and Riverside, California.
  • Khalid Al-Hezaimi
    • Dr. Al-Hezaimi is a Diplomate of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Association of Periodontology. He graduated from the Advanced Endodontics Program of the University of Southern California in 2003 and later pursued a specialty in periodontology. He later served as a Clinical Professor of Endodontics at Loma Linda University and the University of Southern California.
      Dr. Al-Hezaimi has been actively involved in clinical research in endodontics and periodontics and has published over 100 scientific articles, textbook chapters, and abstracts. He has also lectured extensively nationally and internationally.
  • Dean Suanico
    • Dr. Suanico practiced full-time endodontics in California for over 20 years. He is a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists. His passion is to share his knowledge and expertise with other dentists to improve their success rate in endodontics.
  • Scientific & Clinical Advisor: Ilan Rotstein
    • Dr. Rotstein is a Professor of Endodontics at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. He has served in leadership roles for various dental organizations, including Chair of the Research Committee of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA), President of the Southern California Academy of Endodontists, member of committees of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and as scientific reviewer for international endodontic and dental journals. He has served as Associate Dean of Continuing Dental Education at USC for 17 years and Chair of Endodontics at USC for 20 years.
      Dr. Rotstein has published over 200 scientific articles and research abstracts in the dental literature as well as chapters in international endodontic textbooks, including Ingle’s Endodontics, Pathways of the Pulp, Endodontics: Principles and Practice, Seltzer and Bender’s Dental Pulp, and Harty’s Endodontics in Clinical Practice. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the 7th edition of the classic textbook Ingle’s Endodontics and Web Editor of the 11th and 12th editions of the textbook Cohen’s Pathways of the Pulp. Dr. Rotstein has lectured in more than 25 countries throughout five continents.
