Course Description

Making immediate implant therapy precise, efficient, and predictable

The demand for immediacy in implant dentistry continues to grow as patients and clinicians seek treatment that is faster, less invasive, and more efficient—without compromising predictability. Immediate implant placement and provisionalization can significantly shorten treatment time, reduce the number of surgical interventions, and enhance the patient experience. However, accelerated treatment requires careful risk assessment, precise execution, and a clear understanding of when immediacy is appropriate—and when a staged approach is the safer choice.

Advances in digital dentistry are transforming how immediate implant therapy is planned and executed. Digital Smile Design, image-based surgical and prosthetic 3D planning, dynamic navigation, intraoral scanning, photogrammetry, and 3D printing allow clinicians to visualize the desired restorative outcome, plan implant positioning with greater precision, and seamlessly connect the surgical and restorative phases of treatment.

This course presents a comprehensive approach to immediacy, integrating digital technology with contemporary surgical and regenerative strategies. Participants will learn how to evaluate extraction sites for immediate treatment, establish prosthetic implant positioning, manage the implant-socket gap, determine the need and timing for hard- and soft-tissue augmentation, and select appropriate grafting materials and biologics.

Through evidence-based lectures, hands-on exercises, digital workflow, and live patient surgery, participants will experience how these technologies and techniques can be integrated into a practical clinical workflow—transforming immediacy from a treatment concept into a predictable and efficient approach to implant therapy.
